Labor board seeks damages after cleaning company allegedly failed to honor union agreement

PITTSBURGH — A labor board claims that an agreement was not upheld with a union.

Nancy Wilson and the National Labor Relations Board filed a complaint on Feb. 22 in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Checklist Cleaning LLC, dba Checklist Facility Maintenance.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident that took place in 2018. The suit states the defendant has unfairly failed to consider hiring a number of applicants for employment and has failed to recognize a deal that was previously made with the union.

The defendant is accused of unfair labor practices.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Julie Stern of the National Labor Relations Board in Pittsburgh.

The District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania Case No. is 2:19-CV-00195-MJH.
