Investor claims Kraft Heinz Co. circulated misleading financial information

PITTSBURGH — A man is seeking damages, claiming that Kraft Heinz Co. circulated false and misleading information to the public.

Steve Walling, on behalf of all others similarly situated, filed a complaint on Feb. 26 in the District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania against Kraft Heinz Co., Bernardo Hees, Paulo Basilio, David Knopf, George Zoghbi, Christopher R. Skinger, Vince Garlati and 3G Capital Inc.

According to the complaint, the Kraft Heinz issued a press release that contained false and misleading financial data and false representations to the public.

The defendants are accused of false and misleading statements and fraud.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Alfred G. Yates Jr. of Pittsburgh.

The District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania Case No. is 2:19-CV-00214.
