WILLIAMSPORT – A Williamsport woman alleges sexual discrimination was a factor in her termination by her employer.

Elizabeth Dake-Threeton filed a complaint on Feb. 8 in the Lycoming County Court of Common Pleas against Aids Resource Alliance Inc. citing hostile environment, sexual discrimination, retaliation and wrongful discharge. The defendant removed the case to federal court on March 11.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff began her employment with the defendant in February 2015 as a case management assistant. She alleges throughout her employment, she was regularly discriminated against due to her sex, including more demanding job responsibilities and harsher sanctions. She also alleges other co-workers used inappropriate language or produced inappropriate pictures.

She alleges in April 2018, she was accused of reporting a co-worker's inappropriate behavior and her job description changed, causing a reduction in pay. The suit states she was terminated in June 2018.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Ryan C. Gardner of Callahan Gardner in Williamsport.
