PHILADELPHIA – A New Jersey woman is suing the U.S. Postal Service and others after her husband allegedly was injured while making a delivery at a post office.
Cassandra Anderson filed a complaint on March 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania against United States Postal Service, Megan Brennan, The United States of America and Merit Services Solutions LLC alleging loss of consortium.
According to the complaint, on March 15, 2017, the plaintiff's husband, Lamont Anderson, was at a post office in Philadelphia making a delivery and was caused to slip, trip or fall because of snow and ice and was injured.
The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to properly and adequately maintain the premises and that she suffered a loss of consortium.
The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs and compensation of more than $75,000. The plaintiff is represented by Kenneth S. Saffren of Saffren & Weinberg in Jenkintown.
