MEDIA – Members of an Upper Darby nonprofit group allege that other members have unlawfully altered ballots for an upcoming election.

AZM M. Rahman, Mohammed Chowdury, Kamal Uddin Bhutto and Abu Taher Siddique, on behalf of Bangladesh Taxi Service of Philadelphia, filed a complaint on April 12 in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas against Shaikhul Islan, ABM Altamas Babul and Afsan Ahmed Polash.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs and defendants are all members of the Bangladesh Taxi Service of Philadelphia nonprofit and an election is scheduled for Sunday, April 28 to elect officers. The plaintiffs allege the defendants have added phantom voters to the roles and removed candidates from the ballot.

The plaintiffs request that the court appoint a receiver to conduct the election and to restore all approved candidates to the ballot.

The plaintiffs are seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiffs are represented by Leonidas N. Koletas of Conshohocken.
