Lawsuit against Iron Hill Brewery says a defective chair caused woman to fall

LANCASTER – A Landisville woman is suing a Lancaster restaurant alleging that a defective chair caused her to fall.

Agnes Rupp filed a complaint on April 22 in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas against Iron Hills Brewery & Restaurant, C&D Brewing Co. of PA LLC, C&D Brewing Co. of Media LLC, C&D Brewing Co. of Montgomeryville LLC and Iron Hill Brewery LLC, doing business as Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on March 16, 2017, the plaintiff was a guest at the Iron Hill Brewery at 781 Harrisburg Pike, Lancaster. The plaintiff alleges she was sitting in a chair when the seat began to shift and wobble and caused her to fall. She alleges she struck her head on the chair and floor in the fall and that that chair was defective.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by David W. Moellman of Moellman Law LLC in York.
