LANCASTER – A Zionsville couple are seeking more than $50,000 from a buggy ride company after they were allegedly injured in an accident in Intercourse.

Ralph Thompson and Christina Thompson filed a complaint on April 10 in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas against AAA Buggy Rides Inc., Reuben G. Stoltzfus and John Doe alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on May 27, 2017, the plaintiffs were passengers in a horse-drawn buggy operated by Stoltzfus and/or Doe for AAA Buggy Ride in the 3300 block of Old Philadelphia Pike in Intercourse. The suit states the defendants lost control of the buggy and it went off the road, rolling twice and stopping upside down. The plaintiffs allege they were both injured in the incident.

The plaintiffs allege the defendants failed to have the horse and buggy under proper and adequate control.

The plaintiffs are seeking more than $50,000, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiffs are represented by Fredric S. Karpf of Hoffman, Sternberg, Karpf and Lynch in Southampton.
