Curtis B. Toll, managing shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Philadelphia office, spoke at the American Bar Association’s Master Class on Complex Environmental Liability Resolution, June 12.
Toll will speak on a panel titled “Laying a Solid Foundation for Brownfields Projects: A Fresh Look at Financing and Transferring Environmental Risk,” which will discuss new tools for driving complex brownfields deals forward, the current status of some well-established tools, and how these tools interrelate.
The conference, hosted by the ABA’s Environment, Energy, and Resources Section, focuses on strategies for Superfunds and Brownfields. Session topics range from individual approaches to allocation and mediation of Superfunds to recent reforms to the EPA’s Superfund and Brownfields programs.
Toll is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Environmental Group and focuses his practice on the evaluation and management of environmental risks in connection with the acquisition, development, financing, and sale of environmentally impacted real estate. He advises developers and corporations on complex redevelopment projects, environmental liability transfers, and the management and mitigation of environmental risk. Toll is also consistently listed in The Best Lawyers in America for Environmental Law.
