PEPPER HAMILTON LLP: Pepper Hamilton Higher Education 'in Brief' Series, 'managing Risk on Campus Capital Projects'

Microphone speech

Pepper Hamilton LLP recently issued the following announcement.

With a constantly evolving legal landscape, colleges, universities and independent schools encounter a vast spectrum of new topics on any given day. Pepper Hamilton's Higher Education Practice Group has created its "In Brief" webinar series to provide in-house counsel and school administrators with information that will help them identify and navigate issues relevant to these emerging matters. Drawing on our broad experience in the education sector and beyond, we will address a different timely and relevant topic in each session, allowing time for questions from participants.

Join us for our next "In Brief" session, Managing Risk on Campus Capital Projects, on September 5 from 12:00 to 12:45 PM (ET).

Campuses are constantly evolving environments; sometimes that change is quite literal, taking the shape of construction, renovation and other capital projects. Although institutions may rely on industry experts to guide projects on a day-to-day basis, it is important for administrators with risk, budgeting, contracting/legal and facilities responsibilities to have a working knowledge of the many issues involved in bringing projects to fruition. Join us for this session where we will discuss an overview of project deliverable methods, forms of contracts, risks associated with design and construction contracts, and risk mitigation techniques.
