REED SMITH LLP: Reed Smith Named A BTI "Most Recommended Law Firm 2019"

Award

Reed Smith LLP issued the following announcement on Sept. 3.

Reed Smith announced BTI Consulting Group has named the firm among an exclusive group of 10 law firms recommended most often by corporate counsel in 2019. This top ranking by BTI is based on unprompted client recommendations for superior client service.

“Client recommendations sit at the epicenter of law firm hiring and recurring business,” the consulting group reported in BTI Most Recommended Law Firms 2019: The Firms Top Legal Decision Makers Recommend Above All Others.

2019 marks the eighth consecutive year Reed Smith has been named among the leading law firms in the United States in BTI’s peer-to-peer survey of top legal decision makers. In all, 89 firms were recognized in three tiers of client service this year.

“Reed Smith is proud to be named among the very best law firms in BTI’s annual survey of corporate counsel,” said Sandy Thomas, the firm’s Global Managing Partner. “Our dedication to helping our clients move their businesses forward demands a high level of client awareness and knowledge coupled with a laser focus on meeting their needs. Outstanding client service is the foundation of those outcomes and a core part of our global culture. Being ‘Most Recommended’ is a great honor.”

The top 10 firms in 2019 are described by BTI as “exceeding client expectations consistently and demonstrating deep understanding of their client’s culture, risks, and what their clients really want to accomplish.” According to BTI, these 2019 results are based on more than 350 in-depth interviews conducted between January and July of this year, each of whom answered the question: “Why do you recommend this law firm to your peer?” More than 70 percent named superior client service; some 19 percent said legal skills; and slightly more than 10 percent mentioned “other” skills.
