HARRISBURG – A Nottingham man injured on a construction site in Delta is seeking damages from the site's managers and owners.
Frank Handel filed a complaint on Aug. 14 in the York County Court of Common Pleas against Chicago Bridge and Iron Corp., McDermott International Inc., Calpine Corp., Calpine Mid-Atlantic Operating LLC, Calpine Mid Merit LLC and Battaglia Electric Inc. alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, on May 17, 2017, the plaintiff was working for Teksolv as a safety manager on an energy plant construction site in Delta. The plaintiff alleges the defendants owned, operated and/or managed the site.
The plaintiff alleges while he was walking through a pump house at the site, he tripped, fell and was injured because of equipment obstructing the premises and a lack of sufficient illumination.
The plaintiff is seeking judgment of more than $50,000, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Michael P. McDonald of McDonald at Law in Lancaster.
The case was removed to the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania on Sept. 17.
