For the third year in a row, Pepper Hamilton was named "Healthcare Law Firm of the Year" at the annual Americas M&A Atlas Awards. The awards are sponsored by Global M&A Network, a producer of news and digital media offerings and host of Growth Intelligence Forums around the world.
Partners John W. Jones, Jr. and Solomon Hunter, Jr., leaders of the firm's Health Care Transactions and Regulatory Practices, accepted the award at a gala reception held on October 24 in New York.
Pepper Hamilton was one of only three firms shortlisted for the award, which recognizes firms that have served as the principal advisor on notable transactions involving U.S. parties in the health care industry over the last year. Finalists were selected based on their expertise, execution track record in the health care industry, team leadership and client service. Pepper Hamilton also received the "Healthcare Deal of the Year" award.
At the ceremony, John Jones was recognized for his more than 20 years of practice and achievement in health care mergers and acquisitions and was presented with the "M&A Lawyer of the Year" award.
Pepper Hamilton's Health Care Transactions and Regulatory Practices, part of the firm's Health Sciences Department, bring the value of significant regulatory experience (including fraud and abuse, Stark, licensing and reimbursement) together with the corporate M&A side of the practice.
