Fox Rothschild LLP congratulates Samuel W. Cortes, who was elected president of the Chester County Bar Association (CCBA) for the 2020 term.
Cortes has deep roots within the CCBA and previously served as vice president of the Board and is a former chair of the Judicial Evaluation Committee. He is also a former member of the Board of the Directors of the Chester County Bar Foundation.
At Fox, Cortes litigates contract, business, municipal, and construction disputes in courts and administrative bodies throughout Pennsylvania and works with financial services companies to obtain required approvals of transactions. Cortes recently represented a public entity in obtaining approval of a $93.5 million sale of a publicly owned sewer system to a large private business.
He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Villanova University School of Law, and his B.A. from Boston College.
