Clark Hill PLC issued the following announcement on Dec. 16.
Clark Hill announced that Robert Hannen has joined the firm as a Member of the Litigation Practice in the firm’s Pittsburgh office.
“Rob is an excellent fit for the firm and our Pittsburgh office as we work towards expanding our breadth in the region in strategic areas, including commercial litigation,” said Jeffrey Conn, Member-in-Charge of the Pittsburgh office. “We have a strong client base in the region and nationally, and Rob’s credentials and experience in representing public companies and financial institutions will be highly advantageous to our clients.”
Before joining Clark Hill Hannen was a Member at Eckert Seamans. He has extensive trial and appellate litigation experience in both federal and state courts representing mid-size and large companies, including Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies, in commercial and employment-related litigation involving disputes ranging in amounts up to several hundred million dollars.
“Rob is an exceptional trial and appellate lawyer and an excellent addition to our already robust nationwide Litigation team,” said Litigation Director Kaveri Subbarao. “Our clients’ litigation needs are growing increasingly complex and Rob’s joining our team will strengthen our capabilities in industries of significance to the region and nationwide.”
Hannen has represented companies in a variety of industries including manufacturing, technology and financial institutions in litigation involving defense of allegations of breach of contract, predatory lending, fraud, wrongful foreclosure, wrongful dishonor of checks, and violations of consumer credit protection laws. Hannen has also litigated many cases to verdict, including as lead trial counsel in class action litigation.

Hannen earned his J.D. at Duquesne University School of Law and his B.A. at the University of Pittsburgh. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio.
Hannen is an active member of the Pittsburgh community, having participated in many foundations and programs throughout the years.
