Power company alleges it was misled about an installation team's competence

PHILADELPHIA — A power company alleges it was misled about the competence of a business software installation team.

Southeast Power Group Inc., also known as Southeast Diesel Corp., filed a complaint on Jan. 22 in the Eastern District Court against SAP America Inc.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff is seeking damages for an incident in which the plaintiff hired the defendant to install a business software product at the plaintiff's facility. The defendant allegedly was negligent in recommending an installation company that was incompetent. Due to the defendant's negligence, the plaintiff has been caused to suffer damages of more than $1.8 million.

The defendant is accused of negligence and negligent misrepresentation.

The plaintiff is seeking all reasonable sums due, attorney fees and court costs. The plaintiff is represented by Matthew Corso, Michael Bootier and Lauren Pezor of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC.
