PHILADELPHIA - According to a man’s lawsuit, Immigration Services, Inc., misled him to believe it could offer legit immigration services to help his parents become U.S. citizens.
He sued the company and two individuals in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on Feb. 25.
Trinidad Tapia Osorio filed the lawsuit against Bianca and Francisco Alvarez, as well as Aloe Vera Caribbean Imports (d/b/a Immigration Services, Inc).
He alleged he paid the defendants thousands of dollars in the hopes of getting his parents permanent residency in the U.S. But instead, he later accused the defendants of falsifying their skills.
“Defendants are not licensed attorneys and are not authorized to provide legal services,” Osorio's attorney wrote in the lawsuit. He said his parents never became permanent residents. He’s suing for unjust enrichment and breach of contract.
