READING - Lancaster County and several of its related entities and officers are facing a lawsuit from Kristi Good, who alleges Andrew Davis Good died as a result of getting brutally tased by Lancaster police.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania on March 16.

Kristi Good sued Lancaster County Deputy Sheriff Barbara Rodriguez-Santana, Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Christopher R. Leppler and police officer Greg Stone, as well as the Akron Borough Police Department, Ephrata Borough Police Department, and 30 John Doe defendants from the police departments named.

Kristi alleged that Andrew, who authorities knew suffered an addiction to opioids and was a fugitive as of April 14, 2018, experienced physical harm from police that led to his passing. He was booked on a warrant and allegedly shackled when he tried to escape custody and run out of a parking lot.

Santana is accused of tasing him with several of the John Doe defendants.

Kristi is suing for deliberate indifference based on the Eighth amendment, cruel and inhumane treatment, excessive force and a Monell claim.

She’s asking for $1.5 million along with punitive damages and attorney fees.
