MEDIA - More than a dozen Turnbridge Apartments residents called out Sunoco Pipeline, LP in a lawsuit with allegations that construction of a nearby pipeline interrupted their lives.
A total of 15 plaintiffs also named Sunoco Logistics Partners, LP and Energy Transfer Partners, LP in the suit over the development of Mariner East II pipeline, filed last week in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.
They allege that the construction, which started in the spring of 2018, goes from bright and early in the morning until late at night “resulting in the small apartment complexes being swamped with construction vehicles, cars, trucks, and construction workers, disrupting the lives of the plaintiffs,” according to the lawsuit.
The plaintiffs claim things got so bad that they felt like they were “living in a prison.” They also alleged the drilling and constructively impacted their drinking water.
They’re suing under the Hazardous Sites Cleanup Act, negligence, private nuisance, strict liability, medical monitoring trust funds, as well as outrageous and reckless conduct.
