Littler Mendelson P.C. issued the following announcement on Aug. 10.
Adama K. Wiltshire, an associate in the Philadelphia office of Littler, the world’s largest employment and labor law practice representing management, has been awarded the National Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division (NBA YLD) Chairman’s Award. This award honors YLD board members and professionals who exhibit incredible dedication to their communities and have also assisted the chairman and chief executive officer of the NBA YLD during the current bar year.
From 2019-2020, Wiltshire served as the director of the NBA YLD Pipeline Initiatives committee, which recently won the American Bar Association’s EMBRACING Diversity Challenge for its Pipeline Initiative program. Through that initiative, the NBA YLD developed several mentoring programs and supported National Black Law Student Association events across the Northeast and Midwest.
“We applaud Adama’s efforts to further promote diversity and inclusion across the legal industry, and congratulate her on this prestigious and well-deserved honor,” said William J. Leahy, Philadelphia office managing shareholder.
In her practice at Littler, Wiltshire advises employers in a broad range of labor and employment law matters arising under both state and federal law. She represents large corporations, nonprofits and small businesses in various aspects of traditional labor and complex employment litigation including union representation campaigns, labor arbitrations, unfair labor practice charges, wage and hour claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act, and training clients on workplace violence, disability discrimination, and other matters.
Wiltshire earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law and her B.A., with honors, from the University of Chicago.
