Lawsuit: Tube fell off of water slide, struck lunching customer at Great Wolf Lodge

Federal Court
Greatwolf

SCRANTON – A new lawsuit against Great Wolf Lodge of the Poconos says a minor was struck by a tube that fell off of a water slide.

Fatma Salem of Staten Island, N.Y., filed her lawsuit earlier this year against Great Wolf in Monroe County Court of Common Pleas. The defendant removed the case on Sept. 14 to Scranton federal court.

Her child, identified as A.S., was eating lunch on June 16, 2018, when they were hit by the tube. Allegedly, A.S. suffered dizziness, sprain/strain of the cervical spine, neck pain, back pain, sprain/strain of lumbar spine and other pain and suffering.

Great Wolf is accused of failing to ensure that a tube could not fall off of the water slide. The plaintiffs’ lawyer is John Lavelle of Cellino & Barnes in New York.
