Philadelphia teen seeks damages from A Taste of Britain after suffering first- and second-degree burns

MEDIA - A Philadelphia teen is suing A Taste of Britain, a tea room and cafe in Wayne, for damages caused by an employee allegedly spilling scalding liquid on the the plaintiff, causing first- and second-degree burns. 

According to court documents filed Feb. 5 in Delaware County Court of Common Pleas, Nora Hyseni was dining at the tea house in April of 2017, when a spill of hot liquid by an employee caused first-degree burns on Hyseni's right arm, second-degree burns on the upper arm and shoulder and permanent scarring.

The documents did not state what liquid was spilled or what was the nature of the environment that caused the spill. 

The plaintiff is seeking damage for her severe physical pain, mental anguish and humiliation. She allegedly underwent and will continue to undergo medical attention for her injuries. 

Hyseni is represented by Clearfield and Kofsky, and is seeking compensation within the arbitrational limits of the court.
