PITTSBURGH - A Pennsylvania car dealership is being sued by a Sewickley couple who say they were deceptively sold a lemon for over $40,000, according to documents filed in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas.
The February suit says that Albert and Dana Madison purchased a new 2020 Honda Pilot in March 2020 from American Honda Motor Co., Inc., for over $42,000; the purchase included a three-year 36,000-mile warranty.
The vehicle was allegedly brought to the dealership for malfunctions three times within the next six months, including radio and camera malfunctions.
The Madisons are suing the dealer for one count of violation of the Pennsylvania Automobile Lemon Law, one count of violation of the Magnuson-Moss FTC Warranty Improvement Act and one count of violation of Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law.
The plaintiffs are seeking restitution over $35,000. They are represented by the Roseman Law Firm, PLLC, of Pittsburgh.
