Montgomery McCracken is pleased to announce that Erin K. Clarke, Ernest D. Holtzheimer, and Richard L. Moss have been elected to the firm’s partnership. Clarke and Holtzheimer, located in the firm’s Philadelphia office, were associates. Moss, also located in the firm’s Philadelphia office, was of counsel.

Clarke is a member of the firm’s Labor and Employment Department. She focuses her practice on representing and counseling employers in all areas of labor and employment law. She routinely assists employers across a variety of industries in navigating and ensuring compliance with all applicable employment laws. She also counsels clients concerning workplace issues, including hiring and firing, discrimination/harassment complaints, discipline, leave, accommodations, and employment agreements. She defends public and private employers in a range of litigation matters, such as discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases..
Holtzheimer is a member of the firm’s Business Department and Co-Chair of the Private Capital and Emerging Companies Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and general corporate matters. Holtzheimer has counseled numerous clients in a wide variety of industries with respect to their general operations, structure, governance, and in connection with complex transactions. As an active member of the emerging business and venture capital community, Holtzheimer serves as Managing Director of the Rowan Innovation Venture Fund and as an advisor to an international angel investment group. Holtzheimer is also a leader in local and national Bar associations, currently serving as Chairman of the Philadelphia Bar Association Business Law Section and Membership & Marketing Co-Chair of the American Bar Association Business Law Section’s Private Equity & Venture Capital Committee.
Moss is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. He focuses his practice on U.S. and foreign patent prosecution matters in electrical, electromechanical, general mechanical, medical device, computer software, and process technology areas. He also represents and counsels clients in intellectual property litigation matters and post-grant proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Patent Trial and Appeal Board, as well as in business transactions involving intellectual property assets, including licensing and corporate due diligence matters.
