Timothy W. Callahan, II, General Counsel of the Firm, and a Partner in the Litigation Department, has been appointed Chairman of the Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company (PLM) Board of Directors.

PLM is America’s premier property and casualty insurance company dedicated to serving the lumber and woodworking industries. Mr. Callahan has been a member of PLM’s board since 2006, and has previously been a member and chairperson of the company’s auditing/nominating committee and executive committees. “Tim has been an incredibly valued member of our team for well over a decade,” said John Smith, president and CEO of PLM. “His dedication to the wood niche and our local community has been admirable, and we are excited to see his leadership translate into great success for PLM in the near future.”

In his law practice, Mr. Callahan handles matters involving loss prevention, attorney-client privilege, work product privilege and the unauthorized practice of law. His defense of attorneys in legal malpractice cases is informed by over 40 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation, including work for financial institutions and insurance companies, as well as bankruptcy matters.  Over the years, Mr. Callahan has had the opportunity to deal with and represent insurance companies in a variety of contexts

Mr. Callahan earned his J.D. at Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law, and his B.A. at Ursinus College.
