Corporate Air LLC seeks payback after alleged defamation from contractor

Allegheny

PITTSBURGH - A contracting company was sued after one of its employees allegedly slandered the company he was contracted for.

The complaint was filed May 3 in the Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas by plaintiff Corporate Air LLC. The defendant is RGP Inc., which employs Jerry Fink as a contractor.

According to the complaint, Fink did temporary work for the plaintiff and agreed to participate in finding the plaintiff a permanent employee for the work he was doing.

The plaintiff says that on February 17, Fink violated the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics by making disparaging remarks about the plaintiff in a Zoom interview with a potential replacement.

Corporate Air says it was unable to find a permanent employee as a result of Fink's comments and were forced to offer him full-time employment.

Fink was then terminated after he continued to make disparaging remarks about the plaintiff, the suit says.

RGP Inc. is charged with breach of contract and defamation.
