Holland & Knight issued the following announcement on May 24.
Holland & Knight has added trial lawyer and commercial litigator Kenneth Racowski as a partner in its Philadelphia office. Previously, he was a shareholder with Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, where he was co-chair of the class action litigation practice.
Mr. Racowski has two decades of experience representing public and private companies in class actions and other high-stakes commercial litigation spanning a wide range of substantive areas, including antitrust, contract and business torts, government investigations, mergers and acquisitions, and securities and corporate governance matters. His clients include leading companies in the life sciences, technology, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, transportation and consumer products industries.
Mr. Racowski's most recent trials have involved antitrust issues, including a three-week trial in federal court of a competitor action alleging group boycott and information exchange claims and an eight-week trial against Federal Trade Commission (FTC) allegations of anti-competitive conduct.
"Ken is a highly regarded litigator known for his success in the defense and trial of commercial disputes throughout the United States," said John Toriello, leader of Holland & Knight's New York and Philadelphia Litigation Group. "His significant experience in antitrust matters, as well as in commercial and healthcare litigation, complement our existing strengths in these areas. He is an outstanding addition to our team."
"We are delighted that Ken has decided to join Holland & Knight," added David Kully, the head of Holland & Knight's Antitrust Team. "He is an accomplished antitrust litigator who will provide great value to our clients that are facing competition issues."
"Holland & Knight has one of the premier litigation practices in the country," said Mr. Racowski. "I particularly look forward to helping the firm achieve its strategic goal of continuing to grow and expand its antitrust practice."
Mr. Racowski received a J.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and B.A. and B.A.H. degrees from Villanova University.
