Anne Marie Aaronson, James Landgraf, James M. Matour, Lawrence McMichael, Esq., Neil Sklaroff, and Martin J. Weis were all honored for their legal work in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Conducted by 200 Research Analysists, spanning 200 jurisdictions, Chambers Research provides an estimated 6,000 rankings tables consisting of thousands of responses from clients. The results of those interviews regarding Dilworth and its outstanding attorneys for 2021 are as follows.
Our comprehensive bankruptcy and restructuring team is recognized for its work in the nonprofit sector. Of note, is the team’s representation of the board of directors of PREIT, the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, in its Chapter 11 filing in the Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
Notable Bankruptcy/Restructuring attorneys were also highlighted. Anne Marie Aaronson is described as an attorney who is “extremely capable and experienced in counseling debtors on bankruptcy matters including workouts and out-of-court restructurings.” James Matour, coined a “true bankruptcy scholar,” was also mentioned regarding his, “broad practice which encompasses workouts, restructurings and bankruptcy proceedings,” in addition to his “encyclopedic knowledge of the law.” Dilworth Chairman Lawrence McMichael was also named for his “prominent bankruptcy practice that frequently sees him handle high-value proceedings.” According to commenters, McMichael is known as, “one of the best lawyers I've ever seen” who is smart and really calm under pressure in the courtroom. Martin Weis also made the list for distinguished Bankruptcy/Restructuring attorneys for his work representing creditors in sophisticated bankruptcy and restructuring matters. In particular, Weis was called a “good advocate.”
Two Dilworth attorneys specializing in Construction and Real Estate also made the list. In Construction, James Landgraf is recognized for the way he handles construction contracts and litigation for owners and contractors, and is said to be, “Very thorough and solid.” Neil Sklaroff, also made the list for Real Estate: Zoning/Land Use, for his work advising “developers, businesses and individuals on a range of zoning and land use matters, as well as development, tax appeals and administrative law matters.” In particular, a commentor noted that Sklaroff is, “known as an all-around fantastic zoning and land use development lawyer."
