Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Aparna Nemlekar to the Pittsburgh office as a partner in the Intellectual Property Department.
“Aparna has more than a decade of experience – as both inside and outside counsel - working with clients in the retail, chemical, biotech, pharmaceutical and medtech industries to protect their most valuable intellectual property assets. We are excited to welcome her to our growing roster of IP practitioners in the region,” said Jay D. Marinstein, Managing Partner of Fox’s Pittsburgh office.
Nemlekar works with clients to prepare and negotiate patent and trademark licensing, joint research, sponsored research, material transfer and non-disclosure agreements and provides intellectual property due diligence for a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions.
She also prepares and prosecutes patent, trademark and copyright applications and provides counseling on patent portfolio strategy, Hatch-Waxman Act issues, patentability, invalidity and freedom to operate matters.
Nemlekar earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, M.S. from New York Medical College and B.S. from the University of Minnesota.
Prior to joining Fox, she was intellectual property counsel for a major international manufacturer of paints and coatings.
