LANCASTER — A woman who allegedly suffered injuries when the glass shower door in her hotel room shattered into pieces after being closed is claiming negligence.

Harriet Isecke filed a complaint Sept. 10 in the Court of Common Pleas of Lancaster County against I.H Investors LLC alleging premises liability.

Isecke alleges in her complaint that she was at The Wilbur Lititz Tapestry Collection by Hilton on Oct. 20, 2019. She claims that as she was attempting to take a shower in her hotel room, she closed the glass door, which then shattered into pieces and caused glass to fly into her and all around the room. Isecke alleges she suffered multiple lacerations and claims the defendant failed to properly install and inspect the glass shower door which was in defective condition.

She also alleges the defendant failed to repair or replace the defective door, warn of the unreasonably safe condition and is negligent for allowing guests to use the shower door when they knew or should have know it was defective and unreasonably safe.

Isecke seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000 and all other just relief. She is represented by Chad Rankin of Rankin & Gregory LLC in Lancaster.
