Troutman Pepper Hamilton Sanders LLP issued the following announcement on Oct. 19.

Troutman Pepper’s health care transactions team served as regulatory counsel to its client TEAM Services Group (TEAM), portfolio company of Alpine Investors, in executing its partnership with 24 Hour Home Care, an industry-leading provider of non-medical home care to seniors and persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

This is TEAM’s 65th investment in the home care industry during the past six years as it continues to actively search for add-on acquisitions in the home care and related marketplaces across the nation.

John Jones, Chair of the Health Care Transactions and Regulatory Practices of the Health Sciences Department of Troutman Pepper served as the firm’s lead on the transaction. He was supported by firm attorneys James Saling, Yale Bohn, Joe Harrington, Erica Youngerman, Kim Gillespie, and Jeremy Frey.

24 Hour Home Care will continue operating under its brand name within TEAM Public Choices, a division of TEAM that serves clients through Medicaid and other state-sponsored disability programs. Joining TEAM will benefit 24 Hour Home Care by enhancing its caregiver and client experiences through additional resources and allow it to pursue future growth opportunities. The partnership supports 24 Hour Home Care’s vision to expand its services across the nation. 24 Hour Home Care was co-founded in 2008 in Torrance, CA by David Allerby and Ryan Iwamoto after they experienced difficulty securing quality home care for family members. The company now boasts 23 service areas across three states, with more than 11,000 caregivers and 13,000 clients.

Clients with a stake in the health care industry rely on Troutman Pepper to navigate their most important deals and complex issues. From national health care systems and suppliers to private equity firms, Troutman Pepper’s clients benefit from the firm’s forward-thinking and efficient approach. The Healthcare Transactions Practice Group combines its deep health care regulatory experience with significant corporate, M&A, and transactional capabilities to create efficiency in helping clients achieve their optimal outcomes. While Troutman Pepper attorneys often act as special regulatory counsel, they also bring the unique ability to help clients structure, negotiate, and close compliant deals.
