Rachael Bushey, chair of Troutman Pepper’s Health Sciences Department, has been recognized by the Philadelphia Business Journal as a “Woman of Distinction.” The Journal’s Women of Distinction program recognizes women leaders in the business community who are blazing a trail at their respective companies, are respected for accomplishments within their industries, give back to the community and are sought-after advisors and mentors.
In addition to leading one of the country’s largest law firm practices focusing on health care and life sciences, Bushey is a member of the firm’s Management Team, Policy Committees and the Women’s Leadership Committee. Bushey is considered one of the country’s most innovative lawyers in life sciences transactions and has helped many of Philadelphia’s most successful biotech startups.
Bushey was recognized as a Woman of Distinction along with a tenacious group of businesswomen who rose to the occasion in a year full of challenges, overcoming obstacles placed in their paths through creative thinking and ingenuity. That’s the same spirit with which they have led their entire careers. The honorees were selected by the Philadelphia Business Journal’s editors from nominations made by the public.
The Business Journal will recognize Bushey and the full list of honorees at a live event on November 18 and in a print edition of the paper on November 19.
