Thomas Witt Awarded Philadelphia Bar Association’s Harris Ominsky Award

Cozen O'Connor recently issued the following announcement.

Thomas P. Witt, a member of the Real Estate Practice at Cozen O’Connor, will receive the Harris Ominsky Award at the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Real Property Section’s Annual Meeting on November 30, 2021.

The Harris Ominsky Award is one of two awards given annually by the Philadelphia Bar Association’s Real Property Section. The award is presented to a pre-eminent real estate attorney who practices, or has practiced, law in Philadelphia.

Witt has extensive experience in commercial real estate transactions, including sales, office leasing, financing, sale leasebacks of retail property, brokers’ licensing, zoning, and land development regulation. His practice includes zoning, land use, and historic preservation for projects in Philadelphia, including Liberty Place,  the Comcast Center and the Comcast Technology Center (each the tallest building in the city at the time), the luxury condominium 1706 Rittenhouse Square, and the National Museum of American Jewish History. Witt has long been an active member of the Zoning and Land Use Committee of the Real Property Section of the Philadelphia Bar Association and was active on the committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association commenting on Philadelphia's 2012 Zoning Ordinance. He serves as Secretary and is an active participant in the work of The Development Workshop Witt formerly served as a Director of Historic RittenhouseTown and has long served as a Director of Regional Housing Legal Services.
