Buchanan Ingersoll Rooney PC issued the following announcement on Dec. 20.

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney welcomes Geoffrey F. Sasso as shareholder to its Philadelphia office. Sasso, a commercial litigator, advises clients in the healthcare, construction, manufacturing, higher education, non-profit and financial industries on sensitive, high-profile and high-exposure matters. Specifically, he has extensive experience in defending product liability and personal injury lawsuits, civil rights actions, healthcare matters, and various business and commercial disputes, as well as conducting internal investigations.

“Geoff is a great addition to our strong commercial litigation practice, bringing with him areas of expertise that will further enhance our existing capabilities. As we enter 2022, we foresee a rise in healthcare litigation matters and with Geoff on board, we’re well-positioned to assist our clients,” said David L. Gordon, co-chair of the firm’s Litigation section.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Geoff to the firm. Over the years, we have often worked on behalf of a number of common clients and have developed synergies of practice, so it’s only natural for Geoff to become a part of the Buchanan team,” added Gretchen L. Jankowski, co-chair of the firm’s Litigation section.

“Buchanan is a well-respected firm with a strong presence in a number of key markets across the country. I was very attracted to the firm’s industry-focused approach, especially in healthcare, and the ability to provide our clients with access to a deep bench of multi-disciplinary attorneys,” noted Sasso.

Sasso received his J.D. from Widener University School of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University, Maryland and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York.
