MEDIA — A man alleges he slipped and fell on a wet area while picking up his dog at a veterinary clinic in Sharon Hill and suffered a broken leg.

Harlan Johnson filed a complaint May 4 in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County against Delco Veterinary Hospital alleging premises liability and negligence.

Johnson alleges that he was picking up his dog from Delco Veterinary Hospital in Sharon Hill on July 29, 2021. He claims the defendant made him exit through the back door and that he slipped and fell on wet and slippery grass fenced within the premises.

Johnson claims Delco's negligence for failing to properly inspect and clean its premises where he was forced to walk, failed to give warning or barricade and block the dangerous area and failed to maintain its pathways. He also claims the defendant failed to comply with building codes and that Delco's negligence caused him to suffer a broken leg and injuries to his back and knee.

Johnson alleges as a result of his injuries, he has suffered a pain, mental anguish and incurred medical treatment expenses. He further alleges Delco knew or should have known of the dangerous and defective condition and the likelihood it would cause injuries.

Johnson seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. He is represented by Jason Fine of J. Fine Law Group PC in Philadelphia.
