MEDIA — A Walmart customer is alleging a pallet that was protruding into an aisle caused her injuries.

Alisha Boyd filed a complaint July 29 in the Court of Common Pleas of Delaware County against Walmart Stores East Inc., Walmart Stores East LP and Walmart Stores Inc., alleging negligence.

Boyd, according to her complaint, was a customer at the Walmart store located on Conchester Highway in Boothwyn on June 26, 2021. She claims that she suffered injuries to her foot after striking a pallet that was protruding out in the aisle.

Boyd alleges Walmart's negligence for allowing the dangerous condition to exist, failing to reasonably inspect its premises and for failing to warn of the dangerous condition. She also alleges Walmart's negligence for not barricading the area and that there was sufficient time to correct the hazard and that it should have known of the unsafe and dangerous condition in the shopping aisle. Boyd claims her injuries have resulted in physical pain and caused her to incur medical treatment expenses.

Boyd seeks monetary relief of more than $50,000 and all other just relief. She is represented by Gerald Baldino, Jr., of Sacchetta & Baldino in Media.
