PITTSBURGH — The estate of woman who was fatally shot outside an adult night club in the Stowe Township by a security guard is claiming wrongful death.

Marlane Gilroy, administratrix of the Estate of Madison Paige Gilroy, filed a complaint in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County against True Diamonds LLC, doing business as True Diamonds, alleging wrongful death.

According to the plaintiff's complaint, the defendant operates an adult entertainment bar in the Stowe Township where Madison Gilroy was a customer on Dec. 4, 2021. The plaintiff alleges that as Gilroy was exiting the bar and walking through the parking lot, she was shot by a security guard and suffered fatal injuries.

The plaintiff further alleges the security guard was employed by the defendant and that True Diamonds failed to have a safe and secure premises, failed to have adequate security around the bar and surrounding area and failed to have adequately trained personnel. The plaintiff claims the defendant was negligent for allowing its staff to be armed with weapons and ammunition when it knew or should have known of the risk of harm or death.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief, interest, trial by jury and all other just relief. She is represented by Jeffrey Monzo of the Quatrini Law Group in Greensburg.
