Installment of our Professional Activity Profile series, we recognize the service of Garry S. Taroli, a Partner in our Real Estate Department, with the Animal Law Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
The Animal Law Committee was organized to promote the particular interests of lawyers practicing in the area of animal law, to promote the study and understanding of laws, regulations, and court decisions dealing with legal issues involving animals, and to educate the legal community and the public as to the needs to address various animal-related issues.
In addition to serving as the Co-Vice Chair of the Animal Law Committee, Garry also works to promote the welfare of animals through his service as a specially appointed Assistant District Attorney in Luzerne County (pro bono) for the prosecution of the animal cruelty cases originated by the SPCA’s Humane Police Officers and as the Solicitor (pro bono) for the Luzerne County SPCA, Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge, and Modified K –9/Concrete Angels Rescue.
