In recent months, debt relief law firms and other credit repair organizations have mailed volumes of cease and desist letters, debt validation requests, and vague demand letters to creditors. The sheer volume of these letters undermine the credibility of the requests and place an undue burden on businesses.

Join members of our Consumer Financial Services Group in this webinar, where we will discuss topics related to this recent trend such as:

  • Patterns to look for;
  • Obligations, if any, for responding to these letters;
  • Contrary instructions received from your customers;
  • Predictions on whether these letters will lead to lawsuits in 2023; and
  • Recent consumer litigation filed against the debt relief law firms and what that could mean for their future.
This program is approved for 1.0 CLE credit in CA, NJ, & NY. Uniform Certificates of Attendance will also be provided for the purpose of seeking credit in other jurisdictions. Please note: CLE credit in the following states will not be available: NV and PA.
