Fox Rothschild LLP is pleased to welcome Aaron S. Mapes to the Philadelphia office as a partner in the Environmental Department.
“Aaron counsels clients on transactions, litigation and regulatory compliance, with a focus on providing environmental due diligence for real estate transactions throughout the United States,” said Fox’s Philadelphia Office Managing Partner Lauren P. McKenna. “Environmental issues and concerns continue to challenge clients in their business operations and long-term goals, so Aaron’s skills and insight will be a particular asset to companies and entities seeking strategic guidance in this area.”
Mapes regularly works with private equity real estate investors and energy and industrial businesses, among others. In addition to guiding his clients on the environmental aspects of real estate transactions and on regulatory compliance issues, he guides businesses through all stages of complex environmental litigation filed in state and federal courts and in appeals before administrative agencies.
Mapes also regularly assists clients with issues that arise during brownfields redevelopment and building renovations, helping businesses navigate complex regulatory schemes and develop cost-effective remediation, abatement and waste management strategies.
Mapes earned his J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, with a concentration in Environmental Law. He earned his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
Prior to joining Fox, Mapes served as a Principal in the Environmental Practice Group for Post & Schell, P.C.
