McNees is pleased to announce that energy regulatory attorney Susan E. Bruce was named one of Pennsylvania’s most prominent energy and environment professionals by the commonwealth’s premier multi-media government, politics and advocacy news organization.

City & State Pennsylvania’s 2023 Energy & Environment Power 100 list features utility, business, legal and conservation professionals who are helping to write the commonwealth’s sustainable next chapter. Pennsylvania has maintained a robust energy industry since America’s first commercial oil well was tapped here in 1859, and that industry has expanded recently to include conservation and green energy initiatives and programs as the commonwealth diversifies into wind, solar and other renewable energy resources.

Bruce has, who over the course of her over 25-year career at McNees, earned the respect of her team and served her clients and community with dedication. She is co-chair of McNees’ Energy and Environmental Law and Renewable Energy & Corporate Sustainability Groups.

The energy and environment teams at McNees work with clients to navigate their business, regulatory and legal needs within the energy industry amidst significant and frequent changes in legislation and regulation. They handle energy and utility litigation, regulatory counseling, energy law and utility compliance and enforcement, energy supply, project contracting, on-site power generation and renewable energy matters, to name a few.

In her own practice, Bruce advises businesses and institutions in navigating through the complexities of state and federal energy regulation. She has been recognized by Best Lawyers® and Pennsylvania Super Lawyers® and in 2022 was named one of Central Penn Business Journal’s Women of Influence.

Bruce leads McNees in its dedication to retaining talented and diverse additions, ensuring smooth integration and nurturing growth through mentorship. Outside of the firm, she serves on the Energy Bar Association’s Charitable Foundation Board and Dauphin County Bar Association’s Equal Professional Opportunity Committee.
