Dilworth Paxson attorney Linda Dale Hoffa has been appointed Member of the Pennsylvania State Committee of the American College of Trial Lawyers, widely regarded as the premier trial professionals’ organization in North America.

“The Firm congratulates Linda on the prestigious honor to serve as a Member of ACTL’s Pennsylvania State Committee,” said Dilworth Chairman Larry McMichael. “This appointment reflects the high regard held by the best of the Trial Bar as well as Linda’s peers, for both her performance as a trial lawyer and her leadership in the ACTL.”

Linda is recognized as one of Philadelphia’s leading white-collar defense lawyers and co-chairs Dilworth’s Corporate & Government Investigations Practice Group. She has leveraged her investigative and trial expertise as former Criminal Division Chief at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia and top prosecutor at the Pa. Attorney General’s Office in favorably resolving for her clients complex cases brought by both federal and state prosecutors. Known as a compassionate advocate respected by clients and colleagues alike, Linda has also garnered numerous awards and accolades over the course of her career. This includes her induction as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (2009) and of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (2022) as well as her repeated selection to The Best Lawyers in America®.

“I am honored and excited to serve on the state committee for the American College of Trial Lawyers,” said Linda Dale Hoffa. “Trial advocacy has been my passion since my very first jury trial as a young attorney and that’s why I have taught – and continue to teach – to share with law students what I have learned over the years and to prepare the next generation of great trial attorneys.”

Founded in 1950, the College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States and Canada. Fellowship in the College is extended by invitation only, and only after careful investigation, to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality. At any given time, the Fellowship may not include more than one percent of the lawyers in any U.S. state or Canadian province.
