The Community Involvement Spotlight, we recognize Richard A. Russo’s service with the Kevin Kitchnefsky Foundation for Spinal Cord Research.
After suffering a life-altering injury from a construction accident, Kevin Kitchnefsky was paralyzed from the chest down. With family and friends by his side, Kevin formed his own organization to raise funds for research and to help local people with spinal cord injuries get medical assistance, transportation and equipment. Since the foundation’s origin in 2000, they have held numerous community-wide fundraising events and raised over $500,000 for research into a cure for spinal cord paralysis.
Rick currently serves as a Member of their Board of Directors.
