National law firm Eckert Seamans has launched an official Military and Veteran’s Initiative in advance of Veterans Day 2023. The Initiative will be an ongoing firmwide effort that strives to provide a culture of inclusion and belonging for those at the firm who have served or are continuing to serve in all branches of the United States military, as well as provide legal services to veteran-owned businesses and those looking to do business with them.

With more than 20 veteran attorneys, professional staff, and legal consultants currently at the firm, Eckert Seamans is proud of how veterans play an integral part in the operation and continued success of the firm. Attorney veterans at the firm successfully transfer their experience serving the United States to their clients and engage with them to foster deep, trusting business relationships, while providing exceptional counsel. The Military and Veteran’s Initiative is committed to supporting veterans through the following:

  • Establishing an internal network where veteran attorneys, professional staff, and legal consultants can share experiences and support one another.
  • Mental health support.
  • Supporting pro bono initiatives with veteran causes.
  • Creating opportunities for the firm to support external veteran causes and veteran-owned businesses.
  • Supporting career fairs and other career opportunities for veterans looking to work in the legal field as attorneys and professional staff.
  • Supporting veteran employees while on leave for active duty or trainings.
“Our veterans are an essential part of both our attorney and professional staff teams at the firm,” said Scott Cessar, Chief Executive Officer of Eckert Seamans. “While Eckert Seamans has been striving to support our country’s veterans since the firm’s inception, we are excited to launch an official program to bolster our participation in supporting those who have served both within our firm and in the surrounding community.”
