McNees is pleased to announce that veteran energy attorney Charis Mincavage is the firm’s newest member, effective Jan. 1, 2024.

Mincavage practices in the firm’s Energy and Environmental Law Group, counseling clients on the business, regulatory and legal requirements of the constantly changing energy landscape.

She focuses on matters involving electricity, natural gas, water and wastewater and has represented large commercial and industrial customers in proceedings before federal and state administrative agencies as well as at the appellate level, including before the U.S. Supreme Court. Her litigation experience concentrates on the representation of clients before the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, while her transactional experience focuses on the negotiation of complex energy procurement agreements with a focus on alternative energy sources, including solar and wind projects.

With many years of experience at McNees, Mincavage has sought to give back to her profession and her community. She is an active mentor to early career and lateral attorneys and she works with clients through the firm’s Legal Equity Advancement Program (LEAP).

Mincavage also provides free legal assistance to families in Dauphin and Lebanon Counties through the VISTA Pro Bono program and has served on the board for the Pennsylvania Family Support Alliance and Dickinson College’s President’s Commission on Environmental Sustainability. Mincavage was previously recognized by the YWCA of Greater Harrisburg with its Tribute to Women of Excellence Award.

“Charis is an outstanding attorney who represents the dedicated, collaborative and driven nature of professionals who strive every day to provide clients quality service,” Brian F. Jackson, chair of the firm, said. “We are very happy to have her not only in McNees’ Member ranks, but as a member of our team, and we are honored that she continues to choose this firm as her home.”
