Eckert Seamans Welcomes Cybersecurity and Commercial Litigation Associates in Philadelphia

National law firm Eckert Seamans has added two Associate attorneys in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Gregory P. Mazmanian and Nicholas C. Needle have joined the Cybersecurity, Data Protection & Privacy and Commercial Litigation practice groups, respectively. Mazmanian joins Eckert Seamans from Mullen Coughlin LLC and Needle joins from Clark Hill PLC.

Mazmanian advises on the various aspects of the incident response process related to diverse data privacy matters, including active ransomware events, business email compromises, rogue employee incidents, third-party incidents, data collector matters, and inadvertent disclosures. He also has experience assessing the facts of potential data privacy events in conjunction with forensic findings to identify and analyze any statutory and contractual notice obligations and advise clients on how to move forward with meeting legal requirements. Mazmanian previously served as an Assistant District Attorney with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

Needle advises on the phases of commercial litigation, including conducting depositions and drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery in cases involving legal malpractice, breach of contract, defamation, and discrimination. He has experience presenting oral arguments before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and New Jersey Appellate Division, assisting with internal investigations and drafting investigation reports, and representing companies served with subpoenas for documents and witness testimony. Needle previously served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Robert F. Kelly (ret.) at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
