Steptoe & Johnson attorney Gillian R. Flick has been elected Global President of the Women’s Energy Network (WEN). Gillian assumed her role on January 1, 2024, and her term will run through early the end of this year.
“I am greatly honored to be elected as the President of the Women’s Energy Network,” Flick said. “As I look at 2024, my goal is to remember why WEN started and to ensure that we continue the original vision and mission of the organization while continuing to provide support to all chapters.”
Gillian’s role as president will allow her to assist in growing the global organization which supports 25 chapters in North America, including a chapter in Mexico, and the newest chapter in the Dominican Republic. Her primary focus will be to lead and work collaboratively with the Global Board on setting goals, focusing on strategy to achieve those goals, and overseeing global programs and activities for the organization. Over the past several years, WEN Global has started to transition to a strategic board that will provide more support to all its chapters.
The Women’s Energy Network was founded in 1994 with the purpose of fostering the development and advancement of women in energy by developing a strong network. The mission of the organization is to provide women working in the energy industry with networking, career, and leadership development opportunities.
