PITTSBURGH - A man blames Rivers Casino after he was followed home from there by a woman with a gun and robbed of $1,500.

Scott Landy filed a lawsuit Feb. 1 against a group of defendants including Rush Street Gaming in Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas. He says their security measures weren't enough to keep him from being injured.

The incident happened on Feb. 21, when defendant Jaimeca Johnson had already been placed on a watchlist or banned from Rivers Casino over her propensity to commit theft and/or a criminal conviction of violent crime.

Landy won a "substantial" amount on a hockey game that night and left at 12:45 a.m. on Feb. 22, 2022. He says Johnson was watching him as he made his way out of the casino and to his car.

Johnson jumped her car and drove the wrong way up a parking garage ramp to the floor on which Landy's car was, the suit says, and she followed him to his apartment complex.

She threatened Landy with a gun before striking him with 11 times, then taking $1,500 in cash from him, the suit says. He suffered several injuries, the suit adds.

In addition to suing Johnson and the casino defendants, he is suing his apartment's owner for failing to have security measures like fences, gates and cameras.

The defendants are Rush Street Gaming, LLC; Holdings Acquisition Co., LP doing business as Rivers Casino Pittsburgh; Jaimeca S. Johnson; Andrew N. Sherry; and Moher Properties, LLC, as successor-in-interest.

Landy's attorney is Chad P. Shannon.
