PITTSBURGH - A woman hoping to catch a bite at Eat N' Park with her grandson says she slipped on crayons dropped by the hostess who was showing them to their table.
A lawsuit was filed March 1 against Eat N’ Park, LLC, a Pennsylvania-based diner-style restaurant chain, by plaintiff Alanea Mason. The case was lodged in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, and Mason is represented by G. Christopher Apessos of Apessos Law, LLC.
The complaint alleges that on March 4, 2022, while being escorted to a table at one of the Eat N’ Park locations in Butler County, Mason slipped on crayons dropped by an employee of the restaurant.
The incident resulted in severe injuries including a left wrist fracture and damage to pre-existing surgical hardware in her wrist which required multiple new surgeries, the suit claims. Other alleged injuries include contusions, strains and sprains of the ankle and hip.
Mason claims that she has endured great pain, suffering, inconvenience, embarrassment, mental anguish and monetary expenditures for the care of her injury due to the incident. She also states that she will be required to spend large sums of money for medical treatment and care as well as medical supplies.
