Blank Rome partner David M. Perry, co-chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property & Technology practice group, is serving as co-chair and panel moderator for the International Trademark Association’s The Business of Artificial Intelligence: Practical Applications in the IP Ecosystem conference, being held March 20 and 21, 2024, at Convene in New York City.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The conference will cover the intersection between artificial intelligence (“AI”), intellectual property (“IP”) rights, and brand management. Speakers will discuss the challenges and opportunities presented by AI technologies and how they practically impact the protection, enforcement, and commercialization of intellectual property assets.
Industry experts, thought leaders, legal professionals, and business executives will explore the profound influence of AI on IP rights, its practical applications, and what every brand legal practitioner needs to know.
David will join fellow co-chair Maysa Razavi (Director of Global Brand Protection and Supply Chain Security, Moderna) to present opening remarks on both days of the conference.
Additionally, David will moderate the Capsule Keynote, “Tech Transformation: How Law Firms Are Harnessing AI to Serve Clients,” taking place from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21.

David will moderate a fireside chat on how law firm CEOs and managing partners can strategically approach investment in AI technology to enhance their firm’s operations and serve their clients better.
