Blank Rome is pleased to share that associate Nicolas “Nick” B. Bednarek was recognized in the Homeless Advocacy Project’s (“HAP”) February 2024 Volunteer Spotlight. At HAP, Nick represents clients through its SOAR project, which helps make resources available to vulnerable members of the community who are experiencing homelessness.

Nick told HAP: “I recently had the chance to meet with a client that I represent in pursing Social Security and Disability benefits. His disability had turned his life upside down, resulting in losing his home and being alienated from loved ones. It was also apparent that his disability had made him feel isolated from others in general. We spoke for hours, had lunch, and I got the chance to hear his story, I could tell how much it meant to him to have someone listen, care, and believe in him. It meant a lot to me that I was in a position to help this person, and potentially make a real difference in their life and give them back some control.”

“Nick has truly gone above and beyond with his HAP SOAR client and his compassion and zealous advocacy is so appreciated by HAP,” said Pat Malley, HAP Senior Staff Attorney.

At Blank Rome, Nick focuses his practice on a wide range of litigation matters, including commercial, regulatory, employment, and environmental services.
